West Brom are stepping up their attempts to land Kurt Zouma on loan from Chelsea.
The Baggies are pushing hard to win the race for the Blues’ French defender.
But they face serious competition with over 20 clubs having registered their interest the 22 year-old.
The champions are prepared to loan Zouma out for the season to help him rediscover his form and fitness after a serious knee injury.
He returned to action after 11 months out in January but went on to start just three league games.
Nice, Lyon and Marseille are among his French suitors, Italians Inter Milan are keen while Spaniards Sevilla and Valencia are also in the hunt.
Zouma is understood to prefer to stay in London but Hawthorns chief Tony Pulis remains determined to try and convince him to move to the Midlands.
Zouma failed to break into Antonio Conte’s first team last season after missing the first half of the campaign with a cruciate knee ligament injury.
And according to Sky Sports, Zouma could leave Chelsea this summer on a loan deal to gain regular game time.
The 22-year-old centre-half is reportedly expected to hold talks with Premier League rivals Stoke and West Brom about a season-long loan.
Zouma recently admitted he intends to stay at Stamford Bridge and fight his way into Conte’s first-team plans next season.
Zouma said last month: “No. I’m very happy at Chelsea. I hear the rumours, it’s flattering.
“It means I’m a player people are looking at, but I’m not going to stop there. My objective is to stay at Chelsea.
“Next season, we’ll start from scratch, there will be a lot of games. The cards will be on the table. It’s up to me to work hard.”
But, as it looks like right now, Chelsea are adamant at loaning him out for this season, especially after the signing of Antonio Rudiger.
