CHELSEA have reportedly reached an agreement in principle to sign Monaco star Tiemoue Bakayoko.
Bakayoko, 22, has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge as Antonio Conte looks to bolster his ranks ahead of next season.
The France international enjoyed a fine campaign last term with his contributions in the heart of midfield helping Monaco lift the Ligue 1 title for the first time since 2000 and reach the Champions League semi-finals.
Reports have claimed a deal to sign Bakayoko is close with Conte being a huge admirer of the midfielder.
But French radio station RMC Sport claim an agreement has now been reached between the two clubs.
It is said that he will join the west London outfit for around £35million.
And he is expected to sign a five-year contract once the finer details have been agreed upon.
RMC Sport also say he will arrive in London early next week to undergo his medical.
His arrival is likely to signal the departure of Nemanja Matic, who has been linked with a reunion with Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.
Chelsea are also said to be close to sealing a £60m transfer for Alex Sandro.
The left-back has apparently agreed terms and his current £75,000-a-week wages at Juve will be significantly increased.
Bakayoko will not be the first player to leave Monaco this summer, however, with Bernardo Silva agreeing to join Manchester City.
The Portugal international signed a five-year deal worth around £43m.
