Thibaut Courtois says it’s for Romelu Lukaku to decide whether or not the Everton striker will join him at Chelsea, but has expressed his hope that his Belgium teammate will.
Lukaku’s agent Mino Raiola fuelled speculation on Wednesday that the striker could move to Chelsea, telling talkSPORT he’d been told he can leave Goodison Park in the summer if “certain clubs” want him.
Chelsea have interest in re-signing Lukaku, who scored 25 goals in 37 Premier League appearances for Everton last season, with Everton reportedly valuing the 24-year-old at as much as £100 million.
Courtois told Sky Sports: “Romelu is a great player so if he decides to go to Chelsea or Chelsea decide to sign him, I would be happy to see him in the dressing room in July.
“I guess if it’s the right offer he might go. It’s up to him to decide.”
