Juventus defender says ‘yes’ to Chelsea, deal imminent

Reports on Saturday evening in Italy suggested that Alex Sandro had to make up his mind whether he wanted to join Chelsea.

Juventus are now receiving bids where they would be ok to sell the Brazilian left back and have left it up to the player to decide.

Alex Sandro’s move to Chelsea is becoming closer and there looks to be resolution between Juventus and the Blues.

Last week, Chelsea were linked with both Sandro and his team mate Leonardo Bonucci.

The Old Lady have rejected Chelsea’s initial 60 million euro bid for Sandro.

Chelsea’s latest offer for Sandro is 70 million euros and Corriere della Sera report that the Brazilian will say “yes”.

It seems fair to say that Antonio Conte has somewhat financially bullied his old club for two of their best players in a stand out defence, with rumours of a mega bid for Leonardo Bonucci as well.

And, the Juventus answer is “take Sandro, if he wants to go…”

Sandro’s answer is great news for Chelsea, who are bringing in one of the most highly rated full backs on the planet.

Corriere della Sera add that once the two clubs agree on the fee, the deal could move very quickly.

Juventus have plenty of rebuilding work to do having lost both their Brazilian full backs from their run to the Champions League final and winning the double.

Dani Alves has already left Juventus and looks likely to join Manchester City.

Juventus are tipped to target two full backs who came through the ranks at AC Milan: Mattia De Sciglio and Matteo Darmian of Manchester United.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are heavily linked with Monaco defensive midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko and Everton striker Romelu Lukaku.
