Great News: Midfielder arrives in London for medical ahead of Chelsea move

Tiemoue Bakayoko is in London ahead of completing a transfer to Chelsea as a £36.7million deal is set to be completed, according to reports in France.

The Monaco midfielder has been heavily linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge in the coming days, with personal terms believed to be agreed after a deal was struck with the Ligue 1 club.

All that remains is for the Frenchman to complete a medical and he arrived in the capital yesterday in order to get the move over the line, according to RTL.

Bakayoko was an impressive component in Monaco’s run to the Champions League semi-finals last season and the 22-year-old is set to boss Antonio Conte’s options as he looks to challenge for both the Premier League and the Champions League in 2017/18.

His arrival should see Nemanja Matic’s transfer to Manchester United confirmed, although Cesc Fabregas is expected to stick around in west London.
