€60m Chelsea offer confirmed directly from club, wages could see player’s head turned

Juventus director Beppe Marota has confirmed that Chelsea have submitted a €60m offer for the Brazilian left-back Alex Sandro.

There’s a very interesting interview with the official in Saturday’s edition of Tuttosport, where he explains the situation of several players.

Regarding Alex Sandro, the reporter simply mentioned the player’s name, and Marota didn’t make any ceremony before telling everything.

“Well, for him we received an offer of €60m from Chelsea. And, for the record, we refused it. But if Alex Sandro receives a salary offer which isn’t logical for us, then…”

Both Chelsea and Manchester City have been strongly linked to Alex Sandro in the past few months. Earlier this week, local outlet El Bianconero even reported that the player had rejected both clubs, but if we take a at Marotta’s quotes, it may look like it was actually Juventus who rejected the advances.

Juventus paid €26m to sign Alex Sandro from Porto in 2015, and even though it sounded like a high price at the time, it looks different now. In case Chelsea raise this offer and Juve decide to sell, the profit will be excellent.
