Bertrand Traore really grasped his opportunity at Ajax this past season, scoring 13 goals in 39 appearances for the Eredivisie giants which has put him on the radar of a number of European clubs.
The striker, who has netted four times for Chelsea in 16 appearances for the club, appears poised to leave the club this summer as he doesn’t feature in Antonio Conte’s plans and a number of clubs have registered their interest.
Both Everton and West Ham are believed to have made offers for him, while Bundesliga sides Schalke and Borussia Monchengladbach have also been linked, but Traore appears set for a move to Ligue 1.
According to French newspaper L’Equipe (h/t GFFN) have claimed that Lyon are in advanced talks with Chelsea for his transfer.
The £17.5m-rated striker is a top target for Lyon and they are moving closer to an agreement with Chelsea for him, with the only sticking point now being the structure of the bonus payments but they are likely to be finalised soon.
Lyon are also hopeful that they will agree personal terms with the Burkina Faso international forward by the end of the week.
With Romelu Lukaku likely heading back to Stamford Bridge, it was always unlikely that Traore would get some first-team games in the near future and now it appears that a transfer is close to be being sealed.
