Chelsea are hoping to announce deals to sign both Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alex Sandro as their first two summer recruits this weekend, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is reporting that Bakayoko has already passed a medical with the Blues and is set to be confirmed as a Chelsea player in the coming days.
The same article states that Juventus full-back Sandro is also closing in on a move to Stamford Bridge as Chelsea look to kick off their summer spending.
Chelsea are reportedly hoping to confirm both deals on Saturday, when the transfer window officially opens and when the Blues’ new kit deal with Nike begins.
However, it is also claimed in the same story that French champions Paris Saint-Germain are trying to hijack Chelsea’s deal to sign Sandro from Juventus.
Being the Premier League champions, Chelsea have naturally been linked with a host of players this summer.
However, the west London side have still not confirmed the arrival of any new stars as they prepare for their second season under Antonio Conte and a return to the Champions League next term.
