Chelsea have reportedly lodged an opening offer to sign Lyon midfielder Corentin Tolisso this summer, according to journalist Pipe Sierra.
The France international is sure to be highly in demand this summer and a move away from Ligue 1 does seem likely. However, Chelsea look to have made the first move in the race to sign him and it’s certainly one that Lyon will have to consider.
Tolisso enjoyed a superb breakthrough season last term and has shown his quality on several occasions, impressing in Lyon’s Europa League campaign. This earned him his first ever senior France call-up.
An offer of €35m is certainly substantial and if Sierra is to be believed, the Blues’ intent on signing the Frenchman is clear.
The likes of Arsenal have been linked, but Tolisso would certainly be a big addition for Chelsea.
