Michy Batshuayi is set to turn his back on rival Premier League clubs and is ready to fight for his future at Chelsea.
Batshuayi struggled to make an impact at Stamford Bridge last season, as Diego Costa stole the limelight, but he did score the goal that secured Chelsea the Premier League title at West Brom.
The striker has been heavily linked with a move to West Ham this summer, while West Brom are also keen, but Batshuayi wants to stay and fight for his place, especially if Costa moves on this summer.
Costa has revealed he does not figure in the plans of Blues boss Antonio Conte and will be allowed to move on, and that could give Batshuayi fresh hope regards forcing his way into the Chelsea side.
Conte is targeting a move for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku as Costa’s replacement and the former Blues striker would no doubt be first choice if he did return to the Bridge, but Batshuayi is ready to battle with him.
One thing is for certain, Batshuayi does not seem prepared to play for a lesser Premier League club, therefore scuppering the chance of West Ham and West Brom doing a deal.
