ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI is up for a move to Chelsea.
That’s according to journalist Maciej Iwanski.
He has also ruled Real Madrid out of the race for the unhappy Bayern Munich striker.
Manchester United will attempt to sign Lewandowski, but he has his heart set on a move to London, Iwanski claims.
The Polish forward is unhappy in Munich after getting that he considers to be a lack of support from manager Carlo Ancelotti.
And Antonio Conte could be the man to make him happy again.
Iwanski tweeted: “Today I had a very interesting conversation in the context of Robert Lewandowski with a knowledgeable Spanish colleague.
“He claims that Real will give up the fight for Robert, because they have Benzema, and he has not harmed Zidane.
“Besides, there is no good offer for the Frenchman [to leave Real].
“Also. Really interesting to note when he said that ‘Besides, Real is not going to chase with others interested.’
“Reportedly the wish of Robert has been… Chelsea.
“For years Jose Mourinho has been interested in Lewandowski.
“The player himself is considering transfer, but to London.
“[Lewdowski’s] agent, Cezary Kucharski, of course, does not confirm, but the one who called me – the information is checked. Believe me.”
In a seperate tweet Iwanski added: “To make things clear: Chelsea AND ManUtd are checking on R.Lewandowski.
“Bayern calm, has the player contract until 2021. RL would choose CFC”.
Yesterday Maik Barthel, another representative for Lewandowski, said of his client’s situation: “Robert told me there was no support from the coach or an appeal to support him in the final game to become top scorer.
“He was really disappointed, like I have never experienced before.”
