Alvaro Morata tells Real Madrid chief Florentino Perez to let him join Chelsea – report

ALVARO MORATA has his heart set on a move to Chelsea.

The Real Madrid star has been heavily linked with a Bernabeu exit this season.

Starsport understands Chelsea and Manchester United are chasing the 24-year-old.

Morata has struggled to get game time under Zinedine Zidane this campaign.

The striker made a late cameo in the Champions League final last night as Real won their 12th European Cup.

And according to Spanish outlet Diario Gol, Morata has asked Real president Florentino Perez to facilitate his move to Chelsea.

They say the hitman has no interest in joining AC Milan – who have also been linked with the striker – and he is eyeing a move to London instead.

Diario Gol say Morata is aware he will not get game time at Real with Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo spearheading their attack.

Morata has been vocal on his future, claiming he’ll make a decision this summer.

“I don’t know, it doesn’t depend only on me,” said Morata when asked about his future.

“The only thing I’ve done is play, train and enjoy things with my team-mates and it doesn’t depend on me.

“To return to Madrid and win the Champions League is incredible.

“We have matches with the national team. After that, we’ll see.

“It’ll be a beautiful summer: I’m getting married and I’ve won two trophies.”
