Alvaro Morata has dented Chelsea and Manchester United’s reported hopes of signing the Spanish striker this summer but insisted that he wants to stay at Real Madrid.
Chelsea have been linked with a summer bid to bring Morata to Stamford Bridge with Antonio Conte thought to be an admirer of the Spanish striker.
Manchester United have also been rumoured to be ready to make a move to try and bring the Spain international to Old Trafford this summer.
Morata has also been touted as a possible target for Italian giants AC Milan in recent days.
However, it appears that the striker is determined to stay at Real Madrid beyond the summer transfer window if his comments after the Champions League final on Saturday are anything to go by.
Speaking to Mediaset about rumours linking him with AC Milan, Morata said: “I don’t know anything about Milan [interest].
“I read these things in the papers but don’t know anything about them.”
The striker then added to beIN Sports: “To go back to Madrid again and win the Champions League is incredible.
“I think that it doesn’t depend on so much on me if I want to stay, I am happy here, my dream is to be here and right now I’m not thinking about anything but celebrating.
“This is a team. Here we are 23, we have won together, we lose together and there’s no need to think individually. If not, I would have to play tennis.”
Morata scored 20 goals in all competitions this season, despite making just 13 La Liga starts under Zinedine Zidane for the Spanish giants.
