Gary Cahill has warned Chelsea’s rivals that they will have no problem attracting top players to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Manchester City have already sent out a strong signal of intent by agreeing a £43m deal for Bernardo Silva and are about to buy Ederson from Benfica for £34.9m, which is a world record fee for a keeper.
Coach Antonio Conte wants to strengthen the squad significantly after winning the League by seven points.
And Cahill is confident stars will be desperate for a switch to Stamford Bridge because they’ll be guaranteed silverware.
He told Standard Sport: “Since I have been here I have won six medals in five years and I can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t want to join Chelsea.
“I have been involved in semi-finals and finals of cup competitions and won League titles – there is no reason I can think of why someone wouldn’t want to be here.
“We breathe that winning mentality from top to bottom. Just look at the youth system. The Under-18s won the FA Youth Cup for a fourth straight year.
“They breed win, win, win here. It’s a great habit to get into. Ultimately I look at my Chelsea career since I stepped though the door and it’s been a total success.
“I look at the size of the club, the fanbase the calibre of players that come in, it’s got everything going for it.
“But when you win competitions, lift the League trophy like we did this season, it backs up everything this club is about. It proves we are the best team and obviously that will attract players.”
