Ruben Loftus-Cheek is reportedly frustrated by his lack of chances at Chelsea this season and is keen to secure a summer loan exit.
The England Under-21 midfielder has rarely featured in the Blues’ Premier League title-winning campaign, failing to start a single league game while coming off the bench just six times.
The 21-year-old did start twice in both the FA Cup and EFL Cup this season but is down the pecking order and reports say he believes a temporary switch away from Stamford Bridge would be ideal this summer so he can get more first-team football under his belt.
Chelsea do rate the youngster but his path to a regular role in Antonio Conte’s side looks blocked as things stand and he could be allowed to exit in the summer.
There would be a host of top-flight and Championship clubs in the queue to sign him should Loftus-Cheek become available while, in January, Watford, Swansea and Middlesbrough all made approaches to land him on loan without success.
