Michael Owen is backing Chelsea to secure an emphatic win against Sunderland in their final Premier League game of the season on Sunday.
Chelsea won the Premier League title last week after Michy Batshuayi’s 82nd-minute winner in a 1-0 victory over West Brom at The Hawthorns.
The Blues eased to a 4-3 win against Watford on Monday night as Antonio Conte made wholesale changes to his starting line-up.
The west London club will sign off on their season and will bid goodbye to their legendary captain John Terry on Sunday afternoon.
Conte’s side will come up against relegated Sunderland in pursuit of a 30th Premier League win in an outstanding 2016-17 campaign.
Speaking to Bet Victor about Chelsea’s home clash against Sunderland on Sunday afternoon, former Manchester United striker Owen backed the champions to ease to an emphatic win.
“Champions Chelsea will break the record for the number of wins in a Premier League season if they beat the relegated Black Cats and gain a remarkable 30th win of the season.
“It is hard to see anything other than an emphatic home win for the Blues.”
Owen said: “Good luck to John Terry who is likely to make at some stage his 492nd and final Premier League appearance for the Blues.
“A great defender and a great captain.”
Chelsea will take on bitter rivals Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday 27 May.
The Blues have won the title twice in the past three seasons.
