ANTONIO CONTE has told Roman Abramovich to sign Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale this summer, according to reports.
OK Diario say the Chelsea manager has told the owner if Eden Hazard leaves there will be a massive hole left in his side.
And Conte has earmarked Bale as the man to make the difference at Stamford Bridge next season.
The Wales international has also been linked with Manchester United in recent days with reports Real are ready to let him leave because of his injury record.
Jose Mourinho’s side were even reported to have an agreement in place with the 27-year-old.
Conte was previously interested in Bale when he left Tottenham for Real Madrid in 2013.
The Italian was in charge of Inter Milan at the time.
Bale has played just 19 La Liga matches this season due to a number of injuries, scoring seven times and providing three assists.
Hazard is wanted by Real boss Zinedine Zidane this summer but the Blues will be desperate to hold onto their star man.
The 26-year-old has been in stunning form this season, netting 15 times in the Premier League to help the Blues to the brink of a title win.
If Chelsea beat West Brom on Friday they will be confirmed as champions.
