The Spain international defender has become just the fourth outfield player to play every minute of a Premier League title-winning campaign
He’s known as one of the most reliable players in the Premier League, and now Cesar Azpilicueta has joined an elite group of Premier League champions.
After completing Chelsea’s final match of the season against Sunderland, the Spain international defender ensured he played every minute of the Blues’s title-winning campaign.
In doing so, he joins an elite group of outfield stars who have been ever-present while also winning championships.
Leicester City captain Wes Morgan completed the feat last season while Azpilicueta’s team-mate John Terry also achieved the milestone the previous year.
The only other player to manage it came back in the first season of the Premier League as Manchester United defender Gary Pallister helped the Red Devils to the 1992/93 title.
