Conte’s assistant Steve Holland confirms: ‘Yes, Chelsea Star will be at Stamford Bridge next season’

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea assistant Steve Holland has released an interview with TalkSPORT to talk about the future of one of the most successful and popular managers of modern football. The former Juventus boss is being linked with a summer move to Inter with the nerazzurri that have offered him € 15 million-a-year to swap the Stamford Bridge with the Meazza.

Conte, however, is likely to stay at Chelsea and sign a contract extension with the Blues. The Italian confirmed last week that his family is going to move to London and his assistant coach has confirmed that Conte won’t make return to Italy in the summer.

“The speculation is normal when a manager has had the success that Antonio has had”, Holland said.

“When you think back to the success he had at Juventus and the great job he did with Italy in the last European Championship and add to that the success he has had in his first season in England, it is normal that there will be attention.

“There has been a lot of Chinese money that has gone into Inter so it is a club that whoever is at the helm will start to make significant progress and challenge more than they have done in recent years. It is a natural consequence, but I would be very surprised if Antonio isn’t at Chelsea next season.”

Conte won three successive Serie A titles with Juventus before being appointed as Italy national team head coach. He managed to reach the quarter finals of EURO 2016 before moving to Chelsea last summer. He won the Premier League title and reached the FA Cup final in his first season in South West London.
