Eden Hazard confirmed he would be staying at Chelsea this summer after being named the Player of the Year by the club’s fans.
The Belgian star has enjoyed a superb season at Stamford Bridge, scoring 17 goals in 43 games to help the Blues storm to the title.
Hazard has seen his Chelsea team-mate N’Golo Kante beat him to multiple awards this season but was recognised for his efforts at the annual awards night on Sunday.
And after receiving his Player of the Year gong, Hazard was asked whether he was staying at Stamford Bridge, to which he replied: ‘Yeah, why not?!’
Hazard, 26, has been repeatedly linked with a move to Real Madrid over the past few seasons and Zinedine Zidane is said to be plotting a summer swoop for his signature.
Hazard has three years remaining on his current contract and admits he has not yet been offered an extension, although talks are scheduled for this summer.
After picking up his Player of the Year gong, Hazard was asked whether he trains harder than anyone else but quickly put the question to his manager, saying: ‘You can ask Antonio, he’s just there…’
In reply, a grinning Conte said: ‘Yeah, yeah. But he can do better, he can improve!’
