Chelsea Player Ratings: Do you agree with the ratings?

Thibaut Courtois

Should have come out quicker for Sanchez’s goal, made a couple of decent saves in the first half. Couldn’t do much about the second goal. 6

Cesar Azpilicueta
Not at his best after a superb season. Made a decent block in the second half to stop a three on one. Kept going until the end but couldn’t put in the performance that we’re used to seeing. 5

David Luiz
Even though the goal was handball, he shouldn’t have stopped and had a rough time of it against Welbeck in the first half. Also let Ramsey ghost past him for the second goal. Not his best day. 4

Gary Cahill
The only player to come out of the first half when any sort of dignity and the reason Chelsea weren’t 4-0 down at half-time, with a clearance of the line and important blocks. However, let the cross come in too easily for the second goal. 6

Victor Moses
Was up against a make-shift left wing-back in Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, but couldn’t make use of it in the first half. Looked a bit drained in the second half and then sent off for a second yellow for diving. Miserable afternoon. 3

Marcos Alonso
Didn’t provide much of an outlet on the left and Hector Bellerin had a good time flying down the right. Like a lot of the team, outplayed in his position. 4

Nemanja Matic
Not at the races at all and was allowing players to get behind him and in front of the defence. Did nothing with the ball as well before being substituted. 3

N’Golo Kante
Tried to buzz about the pitch, but the Arsenal players were finding way too much space in the first half. Didn’t have a lot of help from his midfield partner, but also was outbossed in the middle of the park. 6

Pedro
Looked to be aggressive in the first half and run at the defence when he got it, but to no avail. Tried to be busy on the ball, but his afternoon wasn’t filled with much joy. 5

Eden Hazard
Saw most of the ball in the attacking third for Chelsea, but was missing that usual spark and surrounded whenever he had it. But failed to hit the dizzy heights that he has reached all season. 6

Diego Costa
Was beaten too easily by Per Mertesacker, a man who had played 37 minutes of football before this game. Took his goal well, but offered little else during the game. 6
