Cesc Fabregas admitted Chelsea were “nervous” during their Premier League title-clinching victory at West Brom on Friday, before adding he is “satisfied” with his season’s efforts.
Chelsea’s 1-0 victory at The Hawthorns earned the Blues their second title in three years and the 30-year-old Spaniard told Sky Sports News HQ: “It’s up there with the very best.
“The first title felt amazing and to win it again is amazing. Again means you’ve done it again. I’m very satisfied.
“This is the best league in the world – it’s the most difficult and most competitive.
“We did feel a bit nervous because of the pressure to be champions. We had so many chances but this is the beauty of football. Football is f****** amazing.
“Although it would have been nice to win at Stamford Bridge, our fans were amazing again. I’m just very proud of the team – we deserved it.”
“You have to grasp these opportunities with both hands and you have to cherish these moments.
“We’ve worked so hard all season to be where we are. Consistently we’ve been the best in the league and we deserve it. We’ve worked hard and there’s no better feeling in football.”
