Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is willing to play through the pain barrier for the remainder of the season despite sustaining a fresh ankle injury.
The Belgian missed the Blues’ 2-0 defeat to Manchester United in April after injuring his ankle while on set of a photoshoot with the NBA.
The 24-year-old’s been in great form this term but showed signs of discomfort during the second half of the club’s 3-0 win against Everton last weekend.
According to the Evening Standard, Courtois has suffered a recurrence of his ankle injury and is under threat of missing parts of Chelsea’s run-in.
However, at this moment in time, Courtois is said to be willing to play through the pain and believes he can deal with the level of discomfort for the next month.
Chelsea have four matches remaining in the Premier League and face Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley in May.
