N’GOLO KANTE is reportedly being targeted by Real Madrid but Chelsea are not interested in selling.
The France international midfielder has proved an influential signing at Stamford Bridge.
Arriving for £30million from Leicester last summer, Kante has been a key player with title glory on the cards.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was said to have personally requested a move for the 25-year-old when the ex-Italy manager took over.
Now though, it appears the Blues face a fight to keep hold of their midfield engine.
According to French outlet Le10 Sport’s magazine, Madrid have made Kante a prime target for the summer.
Contact has apparently been made with Chelsea to let their interest known.
However, the Blues are unsurprisingly reluctant to lose Kante just a year after buying him.
Conte is a big fan of the former Ligue 1 ace, and it would require a huge approach to prise him from the west London outfit.
It is claimed a £51m bid may be enough to convince Conte and Chelsea consider Kante’s future.
And the reliable star is not the only Chelsea player on Madrid’s radar.
Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois are also wanted by Zinedine Zidane, and Express Sport understands a world-record move could be made for the winger.
