FRANK LAMPARD says Chelsea’s players love playing under manager Antonio Conte.
Conte has led Chelsea to the top of the Premier League with four games of his first season in charge remaining.
The Blues beat Everton 3-0 at Goodison Park today to extend their lead over second-placed Tottenham for a couple of hours at least, with Spurs playing Arsenal this afternoon.
Chelsea have three favourable home games in their remaining fixtures and Lampard believes his old team will feel the job is all but done.
“The team spirit, the feeling that they’re there,” he said on Sky Sports.
“I don’t think they will declare that to us but the feeling in the dressing room will be that.”
Conte was on the pitch celebrating with his players at the end and Lampard is a big fan of what the Italain has done.
“That’s great to see from your manager,” he added.
“I think Chelsea fans have seen that all season. That possession, feeling of togetherness and they’ve showed it there.
“I think they love to play for him, it seems that way. He works them very hard on the training ground, he’s very repetitive, he’s tactical and it can sometimes difficult for a manager to keep the players with him because it can be boring.
“He’s found the right balance of working hard, organising them and when players see that, you can’t help but respond to that.”
