Chelsea winger Eden Hazard was interviewed by Sky Sports following his sublime performance against Bournemouth yesterday, as he netted his 14th league goal in a comfortable 3-1 victory at Dean Court.
After the game Hazard revealed he felt sure of scoring against Bournemouth yesterday, as his solid record against the Cherries would back that belief; Hazard has scored in all three previous meetings between the two sides.
“You have teams that you know before the game that you can score, or that it’s your team.
I remember in France I always scored against the same teams, but if you want to be a top player, you have to score against every team.
It was a good goal, I like to score against them. I scored two goals against them here last season.”
Tottenham’s 4-0 hammering over Watford before Chelsea’s fixture had closed the margin to just four points, meaning that the pressure was on Antonio Conte’s side.
According to the Belgian, Chelsea may have felt the pressure before the kick-off, but full focus was on gaining the needed three points once the first whistle blew.
“It’s a massive win for us, especially as we knew what Tottenham had done.
Maybe before the game we felt pressure but once the game kicks off we just think about winning, after that we didn’t think about the Tottenham result.
We know if we want to be champions we’ve got to go to win every game.”
