Chelsea youngster reveals – I want to score most number of goals and win the Golden Boot this season

Bristol City star Tammy Abraham has set his sights on ending the Sky Bet Championship season with the golden boot.

Abraham has scored 22 goals in the league this season, placing him just three behind Leeds United’s Chris Wood with three games of the season to play.

The 19-year-old Chelsea youngster netted the opener for City in their 1-1 draw at Blackburn Rovers on Monday, a result which leaves them four points clear of the drop.

Time may be running out for Abraham – who lies joint second in the goalscoring table with Brighton’s Glenn Murray – to catch wood, but he is confident that his City teammates can help him overhaul the New Zealander.

Abraham told the Bristol Post: “After seeing today’s performance, and our recent performances, we could go out there and get so many goals on the pitch,” said Abraham.

“I just have to be in and around the goals and hopefully I can get the Championship top scorer.”

Bristol City end their season with games against Barnsley, Brighton & Hove Albion and Birmingham City.
