CHELSEA have struck an agreement with Alvaro Morata, according to reports.
Spanish outlet Diario Gol say Antonio Conte has taken a massive step towards securing his No.1 summer transfer target.
The Premier League leaders have managed to convince Morata to join at the end of the season but are yet to approach his club Real Madrid.
However, given the player’s growing unhappiness in the Spanish capital Real are happy to sell for the right price.
He is adamant he wants to go and Conte has promised him game time and trophies in London.
Diario Gol hint something has been signed between the two parties and say that ‘more than a verbal agreement’ is in place.
Conte is a long-term admirer of Morata.
The Chelsea boss signed the forward from Real Madrid for Juventus in 2014 before leaving the Old Lady to take up the Italian national job later that summer.
Morata is still struggling to dispose Karim Benzema from Real Madrid’s starting line up and has decided enough is enough.
