CHELSEA have had an £85m bid for Torino striker Andrea Belotti rejected, according to reports.
Antonio Conte is said to have offered £51m plus another £34m in potential add ons, according to Italian papetr Tuttosport.
The Serie A side have snubbed this offer as they want all the cash paid up front.
If Chelsea can get the cash together a deal could be relatively straightforward to complete.
The Italian has an £85m release clause but Chelsea tried to match that in a smart way.
If they had been successful in their cash plus add-ons offer it would have enabled Conte more room to manoeuvre in the market with the outlay being spread out.
It is unclear what Chelsea’s next move will be.
They could be in need of a new striker with question marks still hanging over Diego Costa’s head.
The Brazil-born hitman could leave Chelsea this summer with Chinese clubs and Atletico Madrid likely to be keen.
Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata is another target and he admitted yesterday that is sees himself playing under Conte sooner or later.
