ANTONIO CONTE has played down the reported dispute between himself and Jose Mourinho.
Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho were involved in a fiery touchline exchange during their FA Cup clash last month.
Ander Herrera’s second yellow card led to Mourinho sarcastically laughing and shortly after the United boss accused Marcos Alonso of diving in front of the dugout.
Mourinho’s attitude angered Conte on the touchline and the Chelsea boss could be seen angrily marching towards his opposite number before being held back from getting any closer.
But Conte insists he has no problems with Mourinho ahead of their match at Old Trafford on Sunday (4pm).
“I don’t see the problem, it is a sporting competition,” said Conte.
“He wants to win with his team, me with mine. It is only a sporting conflict.”
And Conte continued by stating he will always respect what Mourinho achieved during his two spells at Chelsea.
“He won a lot with this team, this club has always shown him great respect for his past,” Conte added.
“If you remember I thought the same and it doesn’t change.
“I have great respect for his history of this club.”
