Chelsea & Eden Hazard
The international break is often a notorious breeding ground for transfer gossip.
That’s certainly been the case for Chelsea in the past week, as reports have been non-stop about the potential of their stars leaving Stamford Bridge.
Diego Costa revealed he tried to join Atletico Madrid last summer, while Real Madrid are reportedly trying to sign Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois in the off-season.
Last week the Guardian claimed that Los Blancos have reached out to Hazard’s camp, while the Spanish giants are reportedly ready to sell Alvaro Morata and/or James Rodriguez in order to fund the Hazard deal.
Update from Belgium
Belgium news outlet Het Laatste Nieuws have reported on Hazard’s situation at Chelsea on Saturday.
According to HLN, Chelsea have decided that even if a club offers them Paul Pogba money, in the region of 100 million euros, for Hazard, such offers will be rejected.
It’s claimed that Roman Abramovich has told Antonio Conte that Chelsea will strengthen in the summer, not lose their top players.
Stressing the point, HLN note that Chelsea have decided Hazard is not for sale.
