Everton striker and rumoured Chelsea target Romelu Lukaku has strongly hinted he’s already decided to quit the club in the summer transfer window.
The Belgium international has been strongly linked with the Blues ahead of next season, having starred in the Premier League with 21 goals so far this term.
Lukaku is expected to cost somewhere in the region of £70million if previous reports are to be believed, and it looks increasingly like he’ll snub a new contract from his current club Everton.
Speaking today, the 23-year-old revealed his mind has already been made up and defended himself by saying there’s nothing wrong with being ambitious.
‘The decision has already been made so I can’t talk about that,’ he said.
‘There is nothing wrong with ambition. You have to embrace it and where you are as a footballer.
‘I’ve made a long way until now but the road is still long and I know I have to improve and get better. I want to help Everton as much as I can, as well as the national team. I think a lot of stuff can be achieved.
‘Sometimes people will mistake things that I say but it’s just ambition that I have; I want to win titles and trophies and I don’t think people should take that as arrogance – people should embrace it.’
