On his way out?
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is getting nervous over the long term future of his current manager, Antonio Conte.
The Italian has been linked with a return to Italy, despite a brilliant start to life in England, and forging a bond with the Chelsea fans that hadn’t been seen since the days of Jose Mourinho.
Now it seems Conte could leave the club, with Inter Milan thought to be the main club wooing him.
Offer of Neymar
To keep Conte, the board offered to sign Brazilian Neymar, yet the Italian turned that chance down, claiming he didn’t want the player.
Of course, given Chelsea go through managers so quickly, someone like Conte is pretty much gold dust to the club, and Abramovich is prepared to offer Conte a huge new contract and funds in the transfer window should he decide to stay at Stamford Bridge, with rumours of a bid from Chelsea for Manchester United target Antoine Griezmann.
