CHELSEA have reportedly been scouting Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

But the 22-year-old will sign a new contract with the Serie A side, according to Transfermarketweb.

Known simply as “Sergej” both AC Milan and Juventus have also shown an interest.

Chelsea are the latest club to watch the midfielder this season.

But Lazio are trying to keep him at the club by extending his current contract to either 2021 or 2022.

Sergej started his career in Serbia with FK Vojvodina before moving to Belgian outfit Genk in 2014.

He made 24 league appearances for them, scoring five goals.

Sergej left Genk after just one season and has been a regular in Italy’s top-flight with Lazio over the last 18 months.

The Spanish-born player has played for Serbia from under-19 to under-21 level.
