Jose Mourinho reacted to being barracked by some Chelsea fans on his return to Stamford Bridge by declaring: “I’m number one.”
Manchester United’s former Blues boss was the subject of abuse from some supporters and shouts of “Judas” from a section of those sat near him during his team’s FA Cup quarter-final defeat.
He responded by showing them three fingers to indicate how many Premier League titles he won for the club during his two spells as Chelsea manager.
And after the game, Mourinho said: “They can call me what they want. I am a professional and I defend my club.
“Until the moment they have a manager who wins four Premier League titles for them, I’m the number one.
“When someone wins four, I will be number two. Until then, ‘Judas’ is number one.”
