Incredible! Cesc Fabregas did this against Manchester United in just 9 minutes

Cesc Fabregas completed more passes in nine minutes against Manchester United on Monday night than any of his opponents did in the whole game.

The Spaniard was an 81st-minute substitute as Chelsea tried to hold on to their 1-0 lead in the FA Cup quarter-final clash.

And they were helped massively in doing that by the team’s quality in possession – orchestrated by Fabregas.

He completed 20 of his 21 attempted passes in the game to better anything put up by the United players, including the world’s most expensive player, and opposition midfielder, Paul Pogba.

That’s according to chelseafc.com, who wrote: “In fact, so complete was the Londoners’ dominance of possession that in the few minutes he was on the field, substitute Cesc Fabregas completed more passes than any United opponent over the whole evening.”

He was helped by the fact United had very little of the ball for most of the night after Ander Herrera’s first-half sending off.

That undoubtedly changed the game in Chelsea’s favour and allowed Fabregas to dictate play after coming on.

With the win, the Blues will now face Tottenham at Wembley in the semi-final – with Arsenal or Manchester City waiting in the final if they’re to make it through.

  1. We need Alexis Sanchez to work wonders on one side of the flanks when Hazard is doing damage from the opposite flank…who knows..maybe Conte is thinking of someone else better.
