Few players represent Chelsea’s remarkable turnaround this season better than Diego Costa.
While the striker has scored 17 goals this season, his relationship with his new manager didn’t get off to a good start:
“My relationship with Conte didn’t start particularly well, because when I met him I told him I wanted to join Atletico Madrid.
“I did everything I could to return there, but they didn’t fight to make it happen like I did.
“When they didn’t wait for me- he told Spanish radio station Cadena Ser- I had to go back to Conte with my tail between my legs.
“China? Never say never, you can’t close any doors in life. But I didn’t learn English so nevermind Chinese.”
