CHELSEA are reportedly hoping Didier Drogba’s friendship with Romelu Lukaku will help them land the Everton star.
The Blues legend spent a year playing alongside the Belgium international at Stamford Bridge.
And The Sun say Chelsea are keen for Drogba to talk up an end of season return to west London.
Antonio Conte failed with a whopping £65m bid for Lukaku last summer.
But his interest in securing the 23-year-old’s services has clearly not diminished.
Lukaku took his Premier League goals tally to 21 for the campaign in yesterday’s 4-0 win over Hull.
And that form will have strengthened Everton chiefs’ stance that the hitman is not for sale.
The Sun suggest Drogba is Chelsea’s secret weapon in their pursuit of Lukaku though.
And Conte will be wishing a chat with the Ivorian will be enough to convince the Everton man to push for a Goodison Park exit.
