EDEN HAZARD will be fit to play for Chelsea this weekend, according to his Belgium team-mate Christian Benteke.
Eden Hazard was thought to be a doubt for Chelsea’s game against Crystal Palace on Saturday (3pm) after pulling out of training with Belgium.
The midfielder sat in the stands in Brussels for the World Cup qualifier against Greece last weekend before returning to the UK for treatment.
However, Benteke has revealed Hazard told him his injury was not serious and he could be available for the game against Palace.
“Yes I think he will play. He came into the dressing room after the match against Greece,” Benteke said.
“He told me he could have played but it would have been a big risk to aggravate his injury.
“With a few days rest, he should be ready.”
Benteke scored twice for Belgium in the 3-3 draw with Russia last night and he claimed it was a welcome change after a difficult season with Palace.
