RUBEN LOFTUS-CHEEK has pleaded with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte: Play me twice more this season!
The midfield man has been forced to look on from the bench this season as the Blues have run away the title.
He’s made just three appearances in the Premier League – but impressed last time out in the late win at Stoke.
Loftus-Cheek now needs to play twice more in the top flight to get himself a winners medal.
“I’m ready whenever the manager needs me — and if he puts me on a couple more times I’ll get a medal!” he said.
Speaking about his cameo at Stoke before the international break, the England Under-21 star said: “When you don’t play much and you get a chance, you have to make sure you take it.
“I want to play to my best and try to push for a place, — so that was an opportunity for me to do well.
“I wanted to give the manager confidence so he knows he can put me in and I won’t let him down.”
Jose Mourinho handed Loftus-Cheek a huge new contract during his time in charge.
And the academy product says Antonio Conte is right up there with the Portuguese.
“I’m fortunate enough to have seen a number of top managers first-hand.
“Antonio is one of the best, the discipline he instilled has got us working as a team.”
