ANTONIO CONTE insists Chelsea’s win over West Ham was a good reply to their title rivals.
Eden Hazard opened the scoring for the Blues in the 25th minute, sweeping home after a classic counter-attack.
The Blues doubled their lead after the break when Hazard’s corner from the left was turned in with his thigh by Diego Costa.
And Conte was pleased with his sides performance.
“We played a good game, we controlled the game, scored and had chances to score more,” Conte told Sky Sports.
“It’s a pity we conceded a goal at the end.
“It’s not good to lose the clean sheet so we have to improve on that, but I am pleased.
“We played a great game, with great commitment.
“It was good to reply to our title rivals, who won this weekend.”
“N’Golo Kante has great stamina,” said Conte.
“He covered a lot of the ground. He’s improving a lot.”
