Here’s everything you need to know about Chelsea’s trip to Liverpool.
What is it?
It’s a Premier League football match between Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Antonio Conte’s Chelsea.
When is it?
On transfer deadline day! I mean, Tuesday January 31.
What time is kick-off?
What TV channel is it on?
BT Sport 1. Alternatively, you can follow the match live with us on this app.
What is the team news?
The big, big news for Liverpool is that Sadio Mane is back and he could be involved. He just been rushed back from the Africa Cup of Nations by private jet and he may be a little fatigued, but Klopp could really do with the winger back in the team and may rush him back.
Otherwise, Nathaniel Clyne is a doubt. Young Trent Alexander-Arnold could start at right-back again. Oh, and Adam Lallana is back too, so there’s that!
Chelsea have absolutely no absentees, so Conte goes to Anfield with the luxury of a fully fit squad. It will likely be the usual team playing, though Cesc Fabregas is pushing for a start.
What are they saying?
Klopp on Liverpool’s defeat to Wolves:
I would have left. It was a bad game. It is not that I think that people have to stay and accept everything. It was not good enough. The only thing I know is that we need positive energy for the next games.
Conte on the threat of a Liverpool backlash:
Liverpool is a very tough game for us because their focus will be very high. When you play at Anfield it’s very difficult for teams. After three defeats you are very angry, and we must know this. We have to play our football with good intensity and then we will see what happens.”
What are the odds?
Liverpool win – 6/4
Draw – 23/10
Chelsea win – 2/1
What’s our prediction?
Chelsea to get their revenge after losing at home to Liverpool.
We’re going for 1-2.
