MANCHESTER UNITED boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly opted against a January move for Chelsea star Willian.
Starsport exclusively revealed last month that the Special One was plotting a raid on his old side.
Mourinho is a huge fan of Willian, who impressed during the Portuguese’s second spell at Stamford Bridge.
The Brazil international has lost his starting spot under Antonio Conte this season and the United boss wanted to capitalise.
However, Goal now claim Willian will stay at Chelsea and Mourinho has cooled his interest.
They say the Old Trafford chief has opted against signing an attacking midfielder with United’s quality in that area.
The Red Devils have the likes of Juan Mata, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Wayne Rooney at their disposal in the No.10 role.
Willian impressed for Chelsea against Manchester City after coming on as a substitute.
He scored the Blues’ second goal which sent Conte’s men three points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
