CHELSEA’S Ruben Loftus-Cheek has explained why John Terry is so important in helping the club’s young players.
The 20-year-old midfielder is one of the brightest prospects at Stamford Bridge and big things are expected of him.
And now he has opened up on what it’s like to break through from the youth to senior ranks.
It can be an intimidating time for young players but Loftus-Cheek’s route has been made easier with the help of Blues legend Terry.
Loftus-Cheek said: “It’s important to have senior players when you’re coming through, especially when you start training with the first team.
“We’re lucky with John Terry who gives so much help, advice.
“He’s there for you if you want to ask him anything, if you’re not sure about anything, so for me he was a massive help.
“Also the other players and just training with them, seeing how they act around the place and all of them are good role models.”
Chelsea are top of the Premier League after 14 games, three points clear of Arsenal in second.
