MICHAEL OWEN is backing Chelsea to make it 10 wins on the bounce.
The Blues continued their hot streak by beating West Brom on Sunday and will be in confident mood when they face Sunderland at the Stadium of Light tomorrow.
Antonio Conte’s table-toppers have leaked just two goals since the start of their winning run in October.
And former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Owen reckons they will beat the Black Cats without conceding.
He told BetVictor: “A fixture that has seen an average of 3.7 goals per game in the history of the PL (30 games) but it is possible that one might be enough for this burgeoning and confident Chelsea side.”
Chelsea, who have climbed to the Premier League summit, are just five victories from equaling Arsenal’s long-standing record for the most consecutive wins.
Following the West Brom win, Conte insisted he is not motivated by breaking the mark.
“I am interested in continuing to win,” he said.
“I am not interested in the record.”
Chelsea also have a trip to Crystal Palace and home clashes against Bournemouth and Stoke before the end of the year.
