MICHAEL OWEN is tipping Manchester City to end Chelsea’s winning run.
Chelsea have notched up seven victories on the bounce to storm to the top of the Premier League.
Antonio Conte’s high-fliers lead the pack after picking up 31 points from 13 games.
But they face, arguably, their toughest assignment of the season at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
Ex-Liverpool and Manchester United striker Owen believes Chelsea will be the firm favourites to win the title if they beat City.
But he is backing Pep Guardiola’s team to come out on top in the lunchtime kick-off.
“What a fantastic start to the weekend,” Owen told BetVictor.
“Chelsea go into the game top-of-the-table and if they are still there on Sunday evening you would have to say they ought to be clear favourites for the title.
“That said this is the acid test and I think City will shade what promises to be a titanic battle.”
