CHELSEA have reportedly submitted an offer for Ascoli winger Riccardo Orsolini.
According to Sportitalia, Chelsea have tabled a bid of around £5m for Orsolini.
The 19-year-old wideman, a three-cap Italy Under-20 international, has has come through the youth ranks to emerge as a key player for Ascoli, who ply their trade in Italy’s second tier.

His current contract is set to expire in the summer of 2019.

According to Transfermarkt, Ascoli have the option of extending Orsolini’s deal for a further three years.
Chelsea have switched to a 3-4-3 system to great effect under Antonio Conte this season with Victor Moses and summer signing Marcos Alonso their primary wing-backs.
They are currently on a run of 12 Premier League wins on the bounce and currently sit top of the table, six points adrift of second-place Liverpool.
Up next is the visit of Stoke on New Year’s Eve.
Chelsea interested in Bayer Leverkusen striker — report
German tabloid Bild ran a big January transfer window preview in its latest issue, and one of the more interesting names among the 50 listed who could be looking for a change of scenery is former Manchester United striker Javier Hernández. His price, a cool €30-40m.

After years and years of just being a backup, Chicharito scored a career high 26 goals for Bayer Leverkusen last season. This season so far he’s “only” got 7, and perhaps due to that drop-off in goals, he’s popped up in the rumor mill as a potential transfer target for the likes of Chelsea.
With just two viable center forwards in the squad, and only one of whom is actually trusted to start, the Blues could very well be looking for additional help in that regard.
Chicharito had been linked with other Premier League clubs in recent weeks as well — Spurs, Liverpool seem to be the two most common options — but considering his penchant for scoring against Chelsea while featuring in the colors of Manchester United, maybe we should sign him just so that he doesn’t do that again.
Chelsea ‘switch to Bayern ace after £51m Nainggolan bid rejected
Chelsea are reportedly ready to launch a £38.2million ‘back-up-plan’ after giving up on signing Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan.
According to the Daily Star, the Blues are now in pursuit of Bayern Munich’s Arturo Vidal as they look to re-invest the £60million they will receive when Oscar officially leaves for China.
The switch in targets comes after Chelsea saw three bids rejected for Nainggolan in the summer, and also a whopping £51million bid in the lead-up to the January transfer window – according to Italian sources.
Conte, who may also lose Cesc Fabregas within the next month, wants to strengthen his midfield more than any other department as he prepares to lead Chelsea into the title run-in.
