EMMANUEL PETIT reckons having N’Golo Kante in your side is like an extra player on the pitch.
Kante was snapped up from Leicester in the summer for £32m.
Since making the move to west London the diminutive midfielder has dazzled.
And Petit insists the 25-year-old’s influence is obvious for all to see.
“I love him. When you play with Kante it’s like having 12 players on the pitch,” Petit told BT Sport.
“He’s got a great heart and ability.
“Tactically he reads the game before the opponent all the time – it’s important for a midfield player.
“He’s very generous with him teammates and, on top if it, he’s a very nice lad.
“He can adapt himself in every system without putting on his own ego in front of the team.”
Kante racked up 37 league appearances for Leicester last season as they secured Premier League glory.
He’s been picked 13 times by Antonio Conte for the Blues this term.
Chelsea stunned Manchester City 3-1 this afternoon to tighten their grip at the top of the table.
