WILLIAN has opened up on his decision to snub Tottenham and join Chelsea back in 2013.
The Brazilian revealed he always dreamt of playing at Stamford Bridge and he didn’t care about choosing the Blues over Spurs at the last moment.
Willian has made a huge impact at Chelsea and was named Player of the Season last year.
He told the club’s YouTube channel: “I don’t know how I can explain that moment. But it was the best moment I think in my life when I signed with Chelsea because it was my dream to come here.
“When I came I am very, very happy to play for Chelsea, to win titles here, so I am very, very happy.”
Willian explained it was difficult to move to the Blues instead of Tottenham but he feels he made the right decision.
He added: “Yes, it was difficult, but I didn’t sign. When at the last moment Chelsea call me I say I’m sorry but I go to Chelsea, that’s my dream.
“I have to go there, I don’t care. I go there.”
Willian has started this season well, helping Chelsea to the top of the Premier League.
He scored after replacing Pedro in the 3-1 win at Manchester City last weekend.
And the 28-year-old will hope to start against West Brom at Stamford Bridge this Sunday.
