Nathan Ake is one of many Chelsea loanees, but he’s doing better than most.
Currently with Bournemouth, he’s lighting their side up at left back and even chipping in with some goals to boot.
Ake has long term plans to return to Stamford Bridge, and you’d have to assume the club feel the same way after watching his development – but he doesn’t actually see himself as a defender, despite spending the majority of his time there.
The player has claimed he enjoys reading the game, and that’s influenced where he wants to play.
Ake said: “I think midfield, just in front of defence and trying to read play, intercept balls. I think that’s my favourite one.
The one I’m playing now, I’ve played a lot of times for Chelsea and in Holland as well so I know that position quite well.
But I think the best one I can play is in midfield but I don’t mind playing anywhere else.”
